I didn’t like myself. No, I wasn’t ugly. I wasn’t fat. My parents adored me and my little sister looked up to me. I was the perfect son, a balanced mix of intelligence and athleticism. My grades were stellar and I was the star of the track team. My dream school had accepted me and I would be graduating at the end of the year. I was 17, with the perfect family, the perfect life, and everything was going the right direction.
Funny, how it was all a lie.
I wasn’t perfect, I was an abomination.
I was...gay.
No! I wasn’t, it was all just a phase that would pass in time. Right…? I sure hope so, because if it doesn’t, it’ll be the death of me.
