He murmured kissing her hair and making his way down to her neck. "One I know you'll be very good at playing." She smiled up at him. "The things you make me do woman." He groaned blinking his surprise as her fingers found and cupped him. "You can't say I don't make up for it." She smiled as his lips came down on hers. "Are all you English women this cunning?" "No." She shrugged, "I'm an exception." "Indeed you are." When Mathan had been asked suddenly by Alastair to take over his duties for the day as he hastily rode off to Edinburgh on the King's command, he had expected nothing out of the ordinary to happen in the usually peaceful town of Ayrshire but when a red haired Vixen blows into their sleepy town anger directed at his cousin over an arranged marriage they all knew nothing about, he knew he would have his hands full keeping the town together. At least her demure handmaid had brought a little bit of calmness where her mistress raged on like a thunderstorm. What happens when the little woman he deemed calm starts to exhibit a fire that attracted him more than he thought possible? ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ When Helen is told that she and her Lady are to move to the barbaric North, she hoped for the best even though a part of her worried for hers and her Lady's well being. But when they drive at the cozy town of Ayrshire and the only fire she has to deal are that of her mistress and the growing desire she was feeling for the giant Scotsman, she seems Scotland not so bad after all.
