Description
Thomas-Frances Ashford is the only son of the honourable Lord Bradford Ashford, Marquess of Braddock Manor and his wife Lady Annabelle-Marie Ashford. Thomas has grown up much like the rest of the aristocratic world. Involved in only himself and his gains. His mind has been disciplined to view those around him as social levels rather than equals, and the black slaves were the lowest of the low. To Thomas coloured people were the scum of the earth, useless creatures who evidently missed out on the beauty of evolution. To him they were absolutely nothing. Jendayi is a sweet, caring girl with a good heart. Young indeed but not an ignorant child, she knew what the white men thought of her race, even though she didn't understand the reasons she knew nonetheless. Thomas is a young lord living in an era where your social status is determined by the colour of your skin, and brainwashed since birth the young lord knows nothing but hatred towards the blacks, that is until a young tribal girl, accidentally opens not only his mind but his heart as well.
