The novel The Rose Inside the Palace seized the hearts of many readers around the world. Similar to the brethren of its genre, it featured the fantasy of a world of royalty, magic, and knights. And as all stories like it, it had a hero, a heroine, a villainess, and a dreadful villain by the name of Emperor Cadmael Leonhart Viktor de Sol Augustin. For my beloved younger sister, it was her most favorite thing in the world. So much so, that she forced me to read it. To her utter dismay, I only read halfway through it before dropping it entirely. The reason? I didn't like the villain. Yet for some reason, my siblings say I'm just like him!
