AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hope hasn't had a parental figure since her dad died. Her mother is never around. She goes to school, hangs out with her best-friend Jacob, and then comes home to take care of her little sister Diamond. That is Hopes routine, that's all she has been doing for the last year. As everyone says it only takes one day to change something, and I couldn't agree any more than I do. It does only take one day to change Hopes life and it has happened multiple times, but I am talking about the most recent change. The one her mother comes home with.
