Hinata is originally from the U.S. but had to move to Japan with his mother and sister. He kept in touch with his father and other siblings. A few months into his first year of high school the team was informed the they would have a training camp in America. The school they where going to was close to his dad's house so he stay there with his mom and Natsu. When he met up with his old friends and a few junior high assassin's he started to act more like his old self. When the team found out the their ball of sunshine was almost the exact opposite of how he acted around them.
