Life at the Citadel had become almost routine for Emerson. Though she wasn't afforded the biological advantages many of her peers had, she had managed to climb the ranks throughout her five years, all the way to a respected captain, in charge of an entire team of soldiers. Day in, day out-her life blurs into an endless montage of skipped classes, running missions with her team, and nights spent awake. It's comfortable.
