Description
Every person lives for exactly one hundred years. Not exactly though. You grow and go through school and basically live your life until you are fifty years old. Then you go backwards. The second you turn fifty you age the opposite way and start heading back to forty nine. Your body goes through the physical changes that it made going forwards backwards. "Birthdays"become "Backdays" and as you become smaller, you still hold the knowledge that you've always had..but some skills aren't accessible, if you are a baby at 7 months...you would be 99 years old in a small body, you would remember and know things, but you can't speak like you used to. No one understands the science behind it...but, that's our way of life. Oh, also you get selected a mate. Someone you are supposed to go through these changes with, someone who is specifically chosen to stick by your side. Someone to grow old and grow young with. You get told your mates name at sixteen and then by seventeen you would've met them already. If you reject your mate, you die...but so does he/she. So, basically you have one shot in this life. One shot at everything. One shot to live the right way and choose the right plot.
