When Taffy Marigold moves to Cormoor, British Columbia, all she wants to do is fit in. And she does, for a couple of days. But, soon enough, she ends up the blood mate to an Alpha werewolf, and knows more secrets about the world than she had ever wished to know. Oh, and blood mates aren't like soul mates. Blood mates destroy each other if they meet and don't find their soul mates soon enough. Now, she has two months to wade her way through secrets, lies, and betrayal, trying to find her soul mate before it's too late. OK, explanation from the author: Soul mates and blood mates are completely different things. As far as I know, I made up blood mates. Soul Mates: your typical werewolf-werewolf bond: their souls are made for each other, they are made to live together for the rest of their lives, everyone will find theirs eventually. Blood Mates: not your typical werewolf-werewolf bond: blood mates are NOT fated to meet, in fact, its rare for them to meet (hence the fact only a couple people in the book know of their existence). Once one member of the blood mate bond finds their soul mate, the blood mate bond is GONE for them, but not for the other mate. The reason they want the blood mate bond to be gone is simple. If blood mates meet, they will destroy each other (that's why they're BLOOD mates.) The one catch is: if they can find their soul mates before they destroy each other (which usually takes about 2-3 months), they will live. If one of them finds their soul mate and then leaves the other one on their own, the one without the soul mate will die, but the one with won't die (the soul mate bond protects them from that). I know my explanation of my creation kind of sucks, but hopefully the whole blood mate - soul mate relationship will make more sense if you just read the book.
