PROLOGUE: CASTLE

Margery is the most beautiful vampire in her clan, tasked with killing all the humans who disrupt the peace of their vampire clan. When a group of researchers comes to study them, Margery is determined to use them, ending up making a deal with Uriel.

Uriel hates vampires, but when a strange female vampire reveals she wants to live in the human world, he promises to take her outside if she kills someone in exchange. But the researchers are not ready for the Butterfly Clan's schemes, nor the town's discrimination against them.

As they plan their escape, Margery realizes Uriel might just be the only man not attracted to her, yet teaches her of love...
