Akaashi's been dealing with hanahaki for years. He's been good at hiding it and the medicine he takes works so well that he can't feel anything at all, the pills target any and all emotion so he's been a rather bland person since he started taking them.

He still remembers who he's in love with though and when he's alone and thinking about his condition, that's when it hits him hard.
