" A Hopeless Romantic" is based on two African-American teen characters who live in the upper part of Manhattan, New York who meet through a dating app not knowing they go to the same school. Aaliyah who is 17, struggles with depression and "daddy issues" . Chris short Christopher who is 18, struggles with anger issues and social anxiety. These two collide and meet on "MatchTube" hiding their true identities behind a screen.
