Did you know the moon was a lone creature? It rises above darkness and shares its light with none. It allows bad things to occur, its infamous for hiding unpleasant things. The moon is a lonely creature. The moon is searching for a light. Some would describe her as elegant, cold, heartless, those who know her say she's lonely. Carmila D'ambrisio is a witch. She's also a popular children's book author. She's reclusive, dislikes media attention, and she especially detests nosy people. Everything must go according to her way that is until it doesn't. And if she could just once have wished it, that it would go her way, she'd wish that she'd never encountered such a man as Officer Sleiman. Pinned as the prime suspect in a murder case, Carmilla's days of quietness become numbered. She blames none other than the man who first created the misunderstanding. And he keeps coming back, tearing up her resolve and requesting her upmost cooperation and attention, but little does she know, he's more than meets the eyes. When a string of unnatural murders brings them together, Carmilla has no choice but to partner up with Inspector Sleiman as her own existence is threatened.
