Chapter 1

Virgil lives in a small town on the border of a faerie wood, so it comes as no surprise that his days are spent evading their mischievous occupants. He listens to his parents and his lessons in school and never sets foot outside the town's borders. By all accounts, he is doing everything right. He should have known that wouldn't be enough.
