Katniss had escaped her first (and what she thought was last) Hunger Games. But this year is a Quarter Quell - the perfect opportunity for Snow's revenge. And Katniss is terrified, and with good reason too.

Her love/hate relationship with Peeta hadn't helped either - especially if they were going to be mentoring together. Peeta was a godsend for her nightmares, and he was the perfect performer for the cameras, something Katniss had always lacked. But Katniss couldn't be sure they're shaky romance could survive under the scrutiny of the public eye and the pressure of the games.

But something was about to happen, and it was going to change everything...
