What is the meaning of life? Yusak Abimanyu, a 14-year-old boy living in Jakarta, is desperately looking high and low for life's meaning. Yet, the world has turned its back on him: his abusive father has left for another city, he's now nearly homeless, and his mom is dying from cancer. Living is pointless, he concludes. But, his world and understanding of life will soon be transformed when Yusak meets a priest and a girl. "Time is tricky," the priest said. "If you come with me, you can change all this. You can choose the kind of life you and your mother want to live." Follow Yusak's spiritual voyage through high and low in his search for meaning. This short fiction is a coming-of-age story about growing up and living life, but with a twist of time travel, love, and adventure. Will he finally be able to unravel life's most elusive secret?
