Prologue

Your life can change in an instant, for better or for worse. Sometimes, it can be both.

Sheng Chen, no older than twenty-two, never imagined himself sealed in a crate with a racist American man after briefly visiting the country, ready to be packed like sardines into a train with other human-filled crates. Questions were left unanswered. Places remained unseen. Every person was left clueless as to where they were headed and why. After demanding to know where they were going, a quiet voice simply chuckled and replied, "Ah, just going to Nowheresville."
