Chapter 1

"The world slowly gets uglier and uglier by the day." I glance over at my friend, her beautiful blonde hair flowing through the wind; my eyes turns from her to look at the broken wall. "Do you think...this will continue for the rest of our lives?" She turns to me and I look away.

"No," I spoke. "I don't believe it'll be like this for the rest of my life." I stand up and run my hand through my hair.

"I think life in the future will change."
