"First love never lasts." She sighed as the cold wind hit his face and made him shiver even more.

"You don't think I know that?" He chuckled lightly and looked down at her. She smiled at the ground, trying to hide her obviously amused expression.

"If you're trying to say something then spit it out." Her eyes looked into his and he couldn't help but smile. He silently slipped his hand into her grasp and stars and swirls blurred his vision. All bright of color and all wonderful.

He brushed her hair behind her ear and whispered ever so lightly, "I am desperate enough to try for you."
