Disaster strikes for Aspen Dagney and the secluded town of Deremohr Valley when the town's annual Halloween fair turns into a bloody and seemingly premeditated massacre.

Bearing witness to the very end of the horrors, Aspen carries with her the knowledge of whom she suspects the killer to be; her former childhood friend and the town's resident black sheep, Ash Pyke.

Almost a year has passed, and just as the town's begun to heal, past demons, the suspected murderer, and an unorthodox priest makes a fortuitous return into the lives of Deremohr's residents, and Aspen - ever observant and easygoing Aspen Dagney - has somehow found herself connected to them all.
