Before a millennium, the blue ball of land and water spun the last time. There was a bang. The world was split into two, those with the sun's essence flowing through them, and those with the moon's magma in their veins. The Dawners and the Duskers. Those who maintained peace among creatures of the moon and the sun were called the Peaceholders, for they held peace with every drop of their last breath.

Rebel is a Peaceholder, with a past threatening to catch up and a brother who lusts after revenge. She makes scars look invisible and broken look invincible. For her, fear is forbidden and bravery is a must.

Kade is a Peaceholder, one of the bests. He's also the one Rebel has been secretly crushing over for years. When the love of his life dies, he doesn't want a pair for the quest.
