The beginning

It is the 74th annual hunger games. This will be the first reaping for Misty Gray, from district 12. She's only 12 and is scared to death (quite literally!) of the capitol.

Her best friend, Primrose Everdeen assures Misty that their names have only been in once. It's unlikely that they'll get picked. However- Prim's sister, Katniss, could easily get chosen.

The odds are ever in their favour.

Until Prim is picked.

This is what happens when Katniss doesn't volunteer- somebody else does.
