Description
Synopsis: Karla Atkins was the first Mental Health Counsellor in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. During the time which lacked mental awareness, it surprised her when having many students attended willingly to the "healing room." Though she had always advised children to recognise their feelings, understand, and validate every existing emotion, Karla had a hard time applying all of that to herself. Her desire in the school was to protect students from any harm, either emotionally or physically. Yet, it was all based on how she projected her fears to seek redemption from her past traumas. Little did she know, everything began to change ever since she set one of her former teachers, Professor Severus Snape, to detention regarding his oppressive teaching methods. It turned out to be a start for what Karla never expected to have: a loyal and genuine friendship. The formal evaluation sessions turned into informal ones by having casual and discreet cigarette breaks together, sharing one another's confusion about life, supporting each other towards self-healing. The two began to believe there was a chance for them to move on from their traumatic past and pursue a peaceful live. Unfortunately, the arrival of the 2nd wizarding war disturbed the pretty image. With each passing day, Severus underwent his role as the puppet for two sides where he was reminded constantly with the main reason of why he ended up risking his life daily, while Karla encountered difficulties on managing herself as she discovered the truth regarding her importance within the war.
