Emma Vaerssen is being shipped off to the colonies for an arranged marriage when her ship gets intercepted by the Black Pearl. Leaving her old life and her husband-to-be behind. She starts her new life along with Will Turner in Port Royal but after 8 years the Black Pearl is back once again, taking Elizabeth with them. Will and Emma help the pirate Captain Jack Sparrow escape from the brig and the three of them go on their way to bring back Elizabeth.
