He had been her best friend forever. Not literally forever because their parents weren't friends or anything, but Calum had been Holland’s best friend since he tugged on one of her dark brown pigtails on the first day of kindergarten, which to them was forever. Now they were seniors in high school and it’s like nothing has changed, besides a few obvious things. Holland grew out of her pigtails, and her brown hair darkened into black. She abandoned her pink light up sneakers for high heeled boots, but she still wears floral print dresses and skirts constantly. Calum ditched his monster truck t-shirts for ripped band shirts, his paint stained soccer shorts were replaced with tight, distressed jeans. His hair, stayed as dark as night and always messy. With both of them having dark hair, people often thought they were related, although Calum was Kiwian, so people always confused him with being asian. Hollan and Calum just clicked, they got each other in a way nobody else ever could. They even talked and moved alike. When they would sing together their voices fit together, while giving each other their own space to express. People wouldn’t think of just Holland, or just Calum.
