The First Foray

Alfdan is unusual among his people, for he is an adopted member of the Ursani, a species of warrior bear-men. As a human being, he has to overcome his physical weaknesses to prove himself a full adult member of his clan. His Pact-Sister, Frigga, tries to help along his journey, but has to learn to let him have full rein over his fate. A dark conspiracy is slowly unraveled, threatening to undermine the uneasy peace between the human-run side of the galaxy and the collective clans of the Ursani.
