After surviving Zaheer's poisoning, Korra returns to her home in the South Pole to recover. All of her friends write to her but the only person she writes back to is Asami. She hates that she had to leave just as she and Asami were getting close, but their bond grows even deeper despite being half a world away, so deep that she begins to wonder if Asami is more than a best friend to her. This fic is going to be in 3 parts. This is part one, written in letter form: the unread letters between Korra and Asami while Korra is in the South Pole recovering from being poisoned. Part two in this series will take place in the South Pole almost a year after Korra left and Asami comes to visit. Part three again takes place in the South Pole, when Asami comes to visit with Tenzin as he assesses Korra's progress. Updates every Tuesday!
