Chapter 1

He's not secretly troubled, or sweet. He doesn't dote on his mother, or have a younger sibling that means the world to him. He didn't have a bad past.

He's not secretly polite. He doesn't treat the girl he loves any more special than the one he doesn't love. He treats her the same.

He's not scared of his feelings. But he's not open to them either. He's not in tune with love, and he doesn't want it. He doesn't even think about it. He couldn't care less. His image doesn't matter to him.

Nothing made him bad. Nothing made him into what he is. He just is.
