"Let him go, Dawn. He's gone! They're all gone!" I suck in a sharp breath, tears blurring my vision. The wind gently tugs my hair as I keep my chin up. "I can't let him go Tony, how could any of us let them go?" Tony Stark goes silent before me, his eyes softening. From behind his legs, his little girl steps out. "Did you lose someone?" I offer the girl a sad, broken smile and stoop down to her. "I lost the most important person in the world to me," I respond, a single tear streaking down my cheek. I reach forward and brush back a lock of her hair. "But when it comes to losing the people we love, we never give up on them," I pause, looking up to connect my charged glance to Tony.
