*** "Please!" Ivy's wet hand trembled, the once oozing gash now spurted blood with Ivy's tears mixed in. "Please," Ivy's hoarse whimper seemed to motivate the wounded to only just keep her eyes open. Israel drowned her out, tearing himself out of his shirt to provide some aid. Rolling it as tight as he could in a ball, he pressed down into the wound, soaking the cloth. It seemed to engulf it, drenching his shirt completely. His mind raced. How could one person lose this much blood. In all the lives he'd taken, he had never seen so much blood. The red ink seemed to stain his vision, blurring his memories. He couldn't understand. "Xio, look- look at m-me," Ivy hiccuped, her face saturated with tears, she could barely breathe let alone speak, her fear choking her. Ivy's begs and pleas fell on Death's ears. *** When she meets Israel, he lets her know he's not what she expects.
