A scheduled space trip to Mars is to last five years but is cut short on an emergency landing. Astronautt Nicole J. Hugh requires special medical attention on her pregnancy, a pregnancy she never knew she harbored.

Bill Johnson almost dies at birth due to complications but survives by sheer luck. History seems to be repeating itself as the complications follow him through adulthood materialising in one form or the other - all unheard of.

He struggles to hide them whilst handling his toxic brother, Cye Johnson, for he is an exemplary copy, a paragon, and everything ought to be just that - perfect.
