In a time when spirits and humans walk together, life becomes complicated like never before. Human fear of the unknown casts a feeling of darkness in every corner, especially now that their fears have been confirmed. Despite the best of efforts, spirits can't seem to convince humans of their safety. Despite being accepted socially and legally, spirits are seen as dark creatures, and demons to many. Spirits, however, are difficult to identify. And being raised as a human, being found out as a spirit can be devastating. Once you're discovered, you become the property of the court. Things are expected of you that no mortal could imagine. And it doesn't help when you're being trained to be the very thing you hate. And it's rather expected to hate what took everything from you at the age of 7. But accepting what she is may be the only way for Red to recover what was taken from her, and answer her questions. But how much time does she have to answer them? No one seems to know. Or wants to.
