"Grace." He demands.

"I can't," I say shakily, leaning my head back and looking up at the shy stars.

"Why not?"

"It's not that I don't want to," I start, looking back at him to catch him already looking at me. "I can't afford it, Sam."

"Then me and my m-" He starts.

"Sam!" I interject. "No. I can fix this on my own. I don't need help from anyone but myself, this is my problem. Not a nurse's, not my dad's, not your mom's, not yours."

"Grace, I found out, so yes! Yes, it's my goddamn problem. And you can't fix something like this by yourself!"

"Yes, you can! I've read about people who have self recovered. And honestly, it seems better than being put in a psych ward!" I'm nearly yelling now.

Sam scoffs, his eyes narrowing at me. "Yeah? Like who?"
