Tears steadily ran down my cheeks. "We can make this work." He caressed my cheek, rubbing the tears away. "Princess, don't cry." "How can I not cry." I gripped his wrist as he looked at me. "This can't work and we both know it." He sighed. My bottom lip started to shake as I tried to talk."I believe it can." My voice didn't sound like my own anymore. He placed his forehead on mine and closed his eyes. "Well then that's really naive of you." ************ Two different generations. Two different lives. Two different ways of living. Victor knew his life wasn't all that it cracked out to be and he was alright with that. He was well off and had what others didn't or wished they had. How can he nod be alright. He was happy with his life. Or that's what he though. That changed when she came in his life. She was quick and kept him on his toes. Every doubt he had about his life and his happiness was put to ease with just a simple conversation. She was flipping his world upside down. MaKenzie didn't see life for what it was. Some days she wanted to watch the world burn and with everyone on it. Other days she would cry for the people at war. She was hiding behind this sarcastic smart mouth persona. Her mask was nice and snugged. But he came along. He saw right through her as she was clear glass. He saw all of her causing her mask to fall. All of her was exposed. Every fear, every smile, and every thought was exposed to him and only him.
