INTRODUCTION

I hope that you enjoy, laugh, cry, and grip the arm of your seat and hold your breath in shock and anticipation as I did when I read through it all myself. This is a young adult novel like none other you have ever read before. To my knowledge, I do not know if sequels to Broadway musicals are ever written, entertained, or performed, but I am hoping to change that. Reading a Beetlejuice-type story in a Novel form is definetly an interesting experience. It is in no way supposed to compare to the musical; it is something seperate altogether, but still faithful to the characters and elements of the original production. Expect many callbacks to the Musical, references to pop culture, sayings borrowed and original jokes as well as satisfying origin story elements. That is to say, the language, attitudes, and portrayals may be innappropriate and/or offensive to younger children and certain audiences. This is true with the nature/subjects of the matter as it stays true to an extent of the Musical. Expect some language, mentions of sex, drug use/mention, e.t.c. A recommended reading age would be 13+ as is the range for mature (Or, immature) young adult novels. I am by no means an accomplished writer yet, but I hope that this story is the beginning of my future as a writer. It is very much unusual and unexpected compared to other novels that I have experienced, and I hope that what makes it move to a different beat is what ultimately makes it stand out against the others. But beyond the story itself lies a message that we all need to hear. It is a message of triumph, love, and what really matters most in our lives.
