Exiled from his family and forced to stay in his room, Vaati misses the love of his life, Shadow Link. He wants to come out and hold his sweetheart close but he fears he'll hurt Shadow again. Shadow, has no idea why Vaati stays in his room all the time. He feels he just decided to shut Shadow out for no reason. But that doesn't stop him from trying to get him out does it?
