CHAPTER ONE

BOOK ONE: FINDING A DATE:
Katie Shears Twenty-six, yes, that is me, full of hope and outgoing, trying to get on with my life away from my family, until my sister sends an invitation to her wedding. I stared at the invite in disbelief. I have not heard from my sister in ten years or from my father. I couldn't attend; my sister would laugh at me for being single. Slouching in my chair, images go through my mind of my sister and her friends laughing. Asking one of my friends, but they are gay, my sister would see right through me. This is harder than I thought-finding a date for my sister's wedding. How complicated can it be?
