Chapter 1

The recent death of Rylee Douglas' parents has made her very secluded and sad. She doesn't want to open up to anyone and doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for her.

T.J O'Connor is the school's bad boy, but it's ONLY at school. At home he is the protective older brother of his younger, twin, siblings. His father comes home drunk every night and beats them. He uses the 'bad boy' act to cover up his bad home life.

Neither want to open up, and neither want help from someone else. What will they do?
