Even with her parents drowning in debts and the less-than-desirable environment surrounding their humble flat, sixteen-year old Ariana still managed to find happiness in her far-from-perfect life. However, things start to deteriorate after her mother's suicide. She is left orphaned with only her brother, José, by her side. Although her future seemed bleak, the thought of having José with her gave her the strength to get through each day. He would always be there for her, wouldn't he?
"There's nothing I wouldn't do for you; I'm always gonna be by your side."
That was what he had promised, anyway.
