When Macen Hartford turns eighteen she is kicked out of the foster system and given a box of her dead mother's old belongings. In the box is her mother Renée's old diary. Macen decides to follow in her mother's footsteps and go to the old hotel where she worked. This proves to be a lot more shocking then Macen could have ever guessed.
