Dr. Mackinzie Allen Carter is the lead researcher for the Federation of Allied Planet's Kryperium Initiative. Tasked with finding new mines, her team is stuck floating on a rock in the middle of space. Nothing exciting ever happens in her life, that is until a ship full of Xarcarik Warriors comes crashing into her space station looking for a mysterious Dr. MAC. Though she and her fellow researchers have tried to convince them the rumors they believe about a researcher who knows the locations of every Federation mine are total bull, the stupid men refuse to listen. Typical. Cralen has one task, find Dr. MAC and bring him back to the Empire so they can learn the location of the prized, and closely guarded, kryperium mines. But, while searching the out-of-the-way space station for the elusive Dr., his world comes crashing down around him when he finds his rare and special life-mate. And a human, no less. It turns out he isn't the only one, either. Now the women are trying to convince him and his crew-mates they've been taken for fools. Sure the women are hiding something, he WILL get to the bottom of this, and claim his mate at the same time.
