After moving halfway across the world a young artist hopes for a fresh start, but since her brother seems to be followed by trouble everywhere he goes and as she becomes a newfound interest of guys, things don't go exactly as planned. ********************************** I sat down by a tree my heart still racing and my legs shaking. How could he do this to me? I reached into my bag and pulled out my phone. My finger was hovering above his number on the screen until I finally pressed 'call'. "Hello?" a sleepy voice answered after just a few rings. "H-hi... Could you c-come and get m-me..." I said barely keeping my voice from breaking. "Hey?! What happened? Where are you?". "Umm, I'm at Lacy's party downtown..." "Ok, stay right there, I'm coming," he said quickly before hanging up the phone. I leaned back on the tree, feeling relieved knowing I'll soon get out of here. I let out a long breath I didn't know I was holding in, as the tears started to roll down my face. How did I get into this mess...
