Wood-elves, Silvans. Fierce, wild, unpredictable, harsh. Untouched by the Light, tainted by the Shadow. It is said that the Fëa of all Silvan Elves is pure darkness.
What happens when Lord Elrond selects a Silvan - Prince of Silvans to be exact - to go on the Quest?

-None of the Fellowship except Gandalf have met Legolas before
-People in general don't trust Mirkwood Elves
-All the Silvan Elves live in Mirkwood, so there are none living in Lothlórien /Rivendell /Whatever other Elvish settlements there are
