Erin Gleeson, the child of Barron's right hand man (Mr Gleeson), is sent on an undercover mission to gather information about the ymbryne's plans for self-defence by being sent to the loop run by Miss Alma Peregrine. However, this leads to Erin learning that he's lived in a chain of manipulation. Even more disturbing yet, he finds himself in a rather strange relationship with a relative stranger.
