There's always that one person that you know has it rough so you try to pretend that they don't exist.

That's Katherine. The outsider that has a poor life and only wishes Niall would notice she exists. All she wants is a friend.

Then there's Niall who knows that Katherine exists but doesn't even reply with a 'hi' in the hallways. She's not on his social radar so he can't speak to her.
