Prologue

When the events of a bad day turns Courtney's friends and family against her, she tries to recover from her world being flipped upside down.
She's desperate to fall back into the good graces of those she's lost, until the school's known conniving degenerate Declan Reyes slips in to steer her away.
Courtney tries to read his intentions, but his careless attitude and reckless behavior makes it difficult.
She's only sure of only two things: he cares about her, and he's bad at hiding it.

She's intrigued by him, but the issue comes when they want two separate things.
Courtney wants her old life back, no matter how poorly she was treated.
And Declan.. he wants Courtney. And he's doesn't want to share.
