For the past few years, Maria the red panda has been traveling with Peter Quill (lesser known as Star-Lord.) Maria has always thought that she was the only one to escape from the people who made her, unknowingly that just a few days after she escaped, a brown raccoon escaped too.

Her life turns when she and Peter accept a job request from the ravager Yondu. Who knew she could eventually find a family in a band of misfits, and that band comes with someone almost exactly like her.
