"This?" He only nodded Ignoring his attempts to not verbally cooperate, she flapped the first two pages over the clip board, and scanned through her student roll briskly. She paused on one of the names for a brief moment. She squinted. 'Maybe,' she thought. She referred to the name again, the one she had marked as absent with a big red 'X'. She skimmed off the name before shifting her gaze upwards to him. "Ash Smith?" She inquired as she cocked an eyebrow. 'Ash Smith' merely made his way across the classroom and set his binder on the only empty seat, messily dropping the rest of his belongings next to it. Ms. Cardinal tapped her painted finger nails against the clip board impatiently. He turned to the teacher and took his glasses off before dryly croaking; "That would be me"
