Chapter 1

I saw the rain pouring down. I didn't want to go outside but another part of me did.
I opened the door and steeped out onto the porch and what happened next was nothing I ever expected to happen.

I wasn't getting wet and I didn't hear splashes on the deck. I look up and realized,
the rain wasn't pouring
it was frozen in mid-air
