Kaden Monetté, a paranoid overly cautious and rather boring girl lives a simple life. Go to school, get annoyed by her bestfriend Emma, go home, and go to bed. She is not the type of girl who would get murdered in a horror movie. But despite how cautious she is she is thrown into the middle of three of the most dangerous people she has ever met. They are vampires, on the run from a government special ops team called the gifted. Everything she knows changes, and it seems as if everyone around her is using her as a pawn, but why?
